Community Program

 1.     Would you like to have a fully-qualified coach (England Basketball Level 2) deliver specific basketball sessions within your school?; and

2.     Have you thought about having an experienced basketball coach in your school that can help and benefit your PE staff?

Russell Hoops have run their ‘School Community Program’ since 2011, which has targeted over 500 children per week in both primary and secondary schools during PPA/PE lessons, breakfast, lunchtime and after school clubs.

We consider ourselves to be the leading basketball organisation in the county and our goal is to give as many children possible the opportunity to play this sport, as well as providing a high-quality coaching service to the school.  We are also able to offer exit routes for any children with a keen interest in the sport, as well as signpost talented players that we feel could take their game to a higher level, through our partnership with a variety of National League clubs.

Our sessions are delivered in a fun, competitive and challenging style, with structured session-plans working in-line with RH Coaching Criteria and the Great Britain Basketball’ areas of emphasis.  Our coaching staff are the most experienced in Hertfordshire, who have the advantage of CPD training and numerous other opportunities through attending various coaching clinics and courses thus enhancing their professional and personal skills.

The added bonus of having Russell Hoops deliver at your school is that we run FREE regular basketball tournaments and extra competitions for all of our partner schools.  Therefore your pupils will have the opportunity to be able to participate in more games than before and, hopefully, drawing them in to the sport.
